About me

Hi, my name is Marcel, and I live in the Netherlands. I'm a software developer and blockchain enthusiast. My mission is to help decentralize the Internet, and the reason for this I will explain below.

The Internet was a great invention, but so many entities abuse it in the last few years. A lot of personal data gets stored on different servers with every site you visit. Social media is not so social anymore with so much censorship. So writing something that is not in line with the mass will get your account blocked quickly, or your story gets removed.

This broken Internet is the main reason why we need a decentralized internet (web3.0). But, unfortunately, creating a web3.0 is not so easy as it requires a new approach. Nevertheless, significant challenges give fantastic results. Blockchain technology makes it possible to create a decentralized environment where people can visit sites without losing their personal information to big tech corporations.

Another critical topic is the current financial system. It is an ancient system and unfair for most people. Governments create money at an alarming rate. Cash with no real value is not linked to any assets like gold anymore, resulting in higher prices for almost any goods.

Possibilities will be endless, and I’m so grateful to live in this time and be able to contribute.
